My name is Mabel, and I was born and raised in Nigeria, which I still proudly call home. I’ve always loved expressing myself through writing and storytelling, and this blog is my way of rekindling that passion. You’ll most likely catch me complaining about my 9–5 (which I only truly love on paydays), binge‑watching cartoons I used to adore, on my third nap of the day, or on a cleaning spree. I am so much fun, aren’t I?

On one random afternoon
I went to visit my friend, and she mentioned being totally out of ideas for her daily LinkedIn post. So, I decided to help her brainstorm. After a while, she was like, “You know what? Why don’t you just come up with the whole thing instead?”
After fighting against it—and losing, I decided to give it a shot. When I sent her what I wrote, she said she loved it so much—and in her words, I’d make a pretty good content writer if I keep practicing. It would’ve been nice to hear that it was the best thing she’d ever read in her life, hehe.
Maybe she was unimpressed and just being nice… or maybe she really meant it. Either way, I already had it in mind to start a blog and I kept shoving the idea out of my head, but hearing those words gave me the push I needed, among other things.
Although, I don’t intend to work as a content writer, I hope you love the little bits of jargon I throw out here just as much as she loved that scrappy post I patched together for her.
